Are you dying to lose those extra pounds that have accumulated round your middle? Are you filled with indecision as to what to do?. So what’s the best way to get into shape?
What have you done wrong? What is it that’s made you this way? There are probably many reasons and it’s a good idea to think about what they are. If you do you’ll have a very good idea what to do.
There are probably many reasons why you’ve put on weight. You’ve probably got some pretty good excuses. Some of them might be valid, but the fact remains that you’ve got to do something about it. Are you prepared to get to grips with the problem? Are you prepared to really make a supreme effort?
If you have a sweet tooth you are going to have to give up the candy bars and the sandwiches, the full fat cheese and all those delicious cakes. You have to make yourself aware of all the things you think have contributed to your weight gain and cut them out.
Have you any idea of the number of calories you eat every day? Have you any idea of the number of calories you burn every day? These are two very important pieces of information you need before you start.
What you do not want to do is to just reduce your calorie intake because you believe it’s what you need to do. This course of action will prove to be disastrous. In fact it is very likely to result in you actually putting on weight rather than taking it off.
This might be an embarrassing question, but do you know how much exercise you take in a week? Be honest now! It’s not very much is it? Do you actually set out to take exercise every day? Is it something in your mind that you always do as a matter of routine?
What you need to understand is that exercise burns calories - it’s also good for you. It keeps you alert and healthy. If you’re serious about losing weight you should start to think about making an exercise plan. Exercise needs to become a habit - a slim habit, if you like. If you are prepared to change you have a better chance of being successful at losing weight. Change will come from learning new habits.
