It’s a fore-gone conclusion that with age, our bodies change. Unlike when we were young, now fat is stored in places we have to be concerned about.
Your digestive system efficiency changes when your metabolic rate slows.
There is one constant and this constant is forever present and that is that if you eat too much food and drink too much alcohol coupled with a sedentary lifestyle, you will gain weight. Also, the shape you’re in can be affected by the hormonal changes in your body.
You cannot blame being overweight on your age. Age did not cause your weight problem. Look at the number of elderly people that remain slim, fit and healthy. Surely, you can understand that you cannot use your age as a determining factor for your weight problem, can’t you?
We abuse our bodies with the poor lifestyle choices we make. As we age, the poor lifestyle choices multiply and the end results are; overweight and other related health problem brought on by poor nutrition.
You can and should expect to keep your fat percentage at an optimum level throughout your life. The health benefits from doing so will pay dividends with a better quality of life and reduced dependence on medication and other health related expenditures as you age.
Anyone at any age can benefit from improved nutrition and exercise.
Anything that will reduce the excess levels in your body fat will assist in helping you to live longer and to enjoy that time more.
If you want to turn back your body clock, start an exercise program and improve your nutritional intake. It’s never too late to start and clearly the sooner you start the better.
