The Benefits Of Using Homemade Bath Salts

Every time I drove to the market store, I would see an entire aisle of bath and beauty products including colorful bath salts. Alluring as they were to me, I would simply look but not purchase. Who actually uses bath salts at home? I hadn’t a clue on what they really were, and what they were for. Just no plain idea on what help they would do me.

Fortunately for me, I took to my curiosity and researched on mother nature’s ways of benefiting my well-being including aromatherapy. And boy did I land on a gold mine of information! Who knew that my circulation would be so much better after rubbing in some homemade bath salts onto my skin? And who knew that this effect was originally done by stepping into a hot spring or a natural mineral bath? It is as if all of the epsom and dead sea salt were harvested just to help me exfoliate my skin. And who knew that the aromatherapy’s natural benefit of smelling so good be healthy for me?

And to think about how much pimple-causing bacteria I can get out of my pores from using these homemade bath salts! Amazing! All that bacteria and sweat, just scrubbed away in the midst of all that exfoliation. Bye bye, pizza face, bye bye. My face is feeling so refreshed already just thinking about it. All the pores on my face will be so open and free–it will surely heal with happiness with nothing blocking or in the way.

Or worse yet, if I had somehow (knocks on wood) been hit with some skin infections or a couple of bug bites, I could alleviate all of that by taking an Epsom salt bath and gently scrubbing away at the evil skin perpetrators.

We won’t stop there, because there’s more! I’ve been talking about all of the benefits that homemade bath salts can do externally, but what is really nice is what they can do internally. If you have any tension in your muscles, you can massage the salts into your tendons. I am sure that you must have experienced muscle tenderness at least once in your life.

What’s not evil is the awesome benefits of aromatherapy. When you smell scents like lemon, lavender, mint or other pleasant-smelling oils, you somehow find your mood transitioned to a relaxed one. This is no accident, as this is what aromatherapy does. Your stress and tension are relieved, your mind is eased, and it is all because you got to smell some homemade bath salts.

If you stay in the bath long enough, be careful as your fingers will lose water and look like raisins. There’s only so much that the Epsom bath salts can do, as they do adjust the composition of the bath water and create a protective layer on the skin so that water does not enter or leave too much.

It is amazing to know that there is so much that this little colorful jar of homemade bath salts can do for you. Who would have known that something that smells so fragrant also makes you feel great (inside the muscles and outside the skin). Thankfully, it is a very cheap yet priceless activity to make these salts.
