It makes sense to look for a consumer rating of a product before you buy doesn’t it? Doesn’t that give you an unbiased view of a product before you buy it?

Doesn’t that make sense? And so for exactly that reason there are now plenty of people who are looking for consumer ratings of skin care products and in particular the consumer rated best facial moisturizer.

But is this really a good approach? It is in fact quite difficult to rate skin care products successfully.

If you were rating a toy for child as an example you could rate it reasonably objectively. Does it work? Does the child play with it and like it? Is it good value? Does it break? Easy.

But lets say you were asked to rate a moisturizer. Now that’s more subjective isn’t it? There’s plenty of women who would give quite opposing views on exactly the same product.

For that reason I disagree with the approach of looking for consumer ratings of skin care products. And we dont know of anywhere you can go to find a reliable and comprehensive database of consumer ratings of skin care products anyway.

I suggest a different approach. Why not try a product yourself and see how well it works for you, and if it doesn’t work then just get your money back?

Impossible you say? Well if you buy the big brand name skin care products you may have a distinct lack of success trying to get your money back because you think they’ve done nothing for your skin.

It’s not going to happen is it?
