Cellulite forms just below the surface of the skin in the thighs and buttocks region, where areas of fat collect and force themselves against the tissue creating a puckered look to the surface of the skin. Health experts have been trying to discover the cause for some time as it is not a condition that affects every woman but they believe it does have some connection to the way the fat cells are made and possibly how toxins enter and are stored within the body.

There are many ways to get rid of cellulite. One effective method is through Liposuction which removes fat deposits while shaing the body. During Liposuction, fat is removed from under the skin with the use of a vacuum-suction canula or by using an ultrasonic probe that breaks down the fats and then removes it via suction. This method is great for localized fat removal.

Liposuction is a fat removal procedure for women (and men) who are of generally normal weight but have isolated pockets of fat; it is most often used when other methods cannot treat it, from areas including the abdomen, bottom and thighs. An unwanted and peculiar side-effect is the fat that’s removed can sometimes reoccur; often ths occurs in a different area from where it was first removed.

Mesotherapy is the latest treatment for cellulite removal these days because of its fast results and also non invasive procedure. Unlike Liposuction, with Mesotherapy a cellulite affected body area is injected with a special serum that dissolves the fat cells which gets flushed out of the body system. The key ingredient in the serum is a substanced called phosphatidylcholine which is a natural occuring substanced found in all living tissues.

Another non surgical procedure for cellulite removal is called Vela smooth which uses bi-polar radio frequency and infrared light to mobilize tissue and effectively re-contours the skin surface. Treatments usually take around 30-60 minutes to perform and are usually done twice weekly. The number of areas treated and size of each area determines the duration of this cellulite removal technique.
