3 Tips on Why You Should Stop Smoking

Everywhere you go, you can see smokers. There are many people smoke in this world so it is no surprise at every corner, you can see one or two people puffing happily. However, smoking is not only harmful to the smokers but to the people around them too be it children or adults.

The non-smokers are everywhere just the same as smokers. It is very likely that in a park, there are hundreds of people who are non-smokers and equal hundreds of people who smoke. Thus, the surrounding is full of smoke and non-smokers will have to inhale the smoke when they breathe involuntarily.

A passive smoker has a higher risk of getting smoke related health issues such as lung cancer. A study shows that passive smokers are likely to die earlier than the smokers. This seems absurd, but this is the truth so smokers, please take note, you are not only killing yourself but others too.

The very first person you put in danger is yourself. You smoke and you know smoking leads to lung cancer. If you are infected with lung cancer, who will suffer next? Your family. This is because they have to fork out the money to spend on your treatments such as chemotherapies will will take months to complete and thousands more to compensate the fees. What happened if your family can’t afford to pay such a hefty fee? These treatments are rare and expensive. The only way out is you will have to live the rest of your lives bedridden waiting for death.

However, don’t just stop there. While you smoke, your family is exposed to the smoke coming out from you. Do you know that the smoke you exhale is even more toxic than the smoke you inhale? I can imagine that someone who has kids playing in the pen while he is puffing away ignoring the existence of the kids.

Another issue about smoking is, do you realised kids like to imitate adults, as the same as mimicking. They see you smoking and they might start to pick up any sticks or pencils to mimic you smoking out of fun. However, as they grow older, it is not fun anymore. They might do it for real. By that time, what is the point of regret? You might wish that you never smoke from the beginning but as your child pick up your skills, it is very difficult to stop them because they will in return, answer this, “You smoke too! Don’t teach us what to do.”

There are many ways to stop smoking, but only if you have the will and determination to do it. You cannot stop smoking in one day as it takes time, but at least you take the first step and I am sure you have higher chance to success in stop smoking.
