Failed Back Surgery Must Be Avoided And Spinal Decompression Should Be Considered

Failed Back Surgery Syndrome is a condition called after patients have not had success with a traditional back surgery. There are many reasons for this, it does not matter if you had the best of doctors or best indications for this surgery. There are two outcomes of spinal surgery; decompression of a nerve root and to stabilize a joint.

Most cases this is not what happens. Surgery does not cut out the patient’s pain. Surgery changes the anatomy of the body and the anatomy of the injury and the probable cause of the pain. By far the #1 effect of this not effective is that the area operated on is not the main cause of the pain!

Therefore the best way to avoid FBSS is to try conservative treatment and procedures. Conservative procedures have a higher degree of success and prevent the traditional back surgery. Spinal Decompression may be the answer you are looking for you back pain rather than traditional surgery!

In addition there are several other factors need to be considered BEFORE agreeing to undertake traditional Spinal Surgery. there are several other potential causes of a failed surgery, or continued pain after surgery: Fusion surgery considerations -such as failure to fuse and/or implant failure, or a transfer lesion to another level after a spine fusion, when the next level degenerates and becomes a pain generator.

Lumbar decompression back surgery considerations-(such as recurrent stenosis or disc herniation, inadequate decompression of a nerve root, preoperative nerve damage that does not heal after a decompressive surgery, or nerve damage that occurs during the surgery. Scar tissue considerations and Postoperative rehabilitation (continued pain from a Traditional Surgery).

Considering the risks and poor success rate of traditional spinal surgery, Spinal Decompression may be a safer, better alternative. Check with a Chiropractic decompression specialist about your condition and the benefits of this procedure
