Spring time makes many people happy! While others dread the spring arrival because they dread the sniffling, sneezing and watery eyes. Allergies seem to pop up around spring time. Symptoms can include sneezing, stuffiness, itchy or watery eyes and even wheezing.

Some people think that they just tend to get Spring colds, when instead it is actually allergies. Allergies have the same symptoms of a cold. But, if the cold lingers or you get them frequently chances are it is really allergies. Your health care provider can help you determine whether it is or not.

For many people pollen is the big suspect of those spring time sniffles. Pollen starts arriving as early as February for many states. If you live in a hot and humid area and suffer from mold and fungus allergies, mold and fungus counts can be particularly high that time of year.

Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between a cold or allergies. An allergy is present when the immune is weakened ad exposed to the allergy. A cold however is caused when a viral germ enters the your system.

Pollen is a major source of allergies, but there are many more. Some people are allergic to grass, pesticides or chemicals and even pets, or their dander any ways. Most of these kind of allergies cause the same symptoms of the scratchy and itchy throat and nose.

People can also be allergic to other things and react different then the sniffles and itch eyes symptoms you see with Spring time allergies. Food, medication and contact with substances can cause rashes and hives, severe itching and even shock.

If you are not sure what you are allergic to your medical provider or specialist can perform a skin allergy test. It is very simple. They introduce the most common culprits into your bloodstream and watch for a reaction.

You should not ignore your allergy symptoms. You should consult with a doctor when they occur. If you do not treat the symptoms they can make you much more vulnerable to things like sinus infections and respiratory infections.
